Crematorium

The Crematorium is located at Langata cemetery on Langata road opposite K.W.S.

How to apply

1. Apply 3 days in advance
2. Get a burial permit from police
3. Take the permit to the City Mortuary and they will book you in.
4. You are required to complete or provide five forms at the City Mortuary
   - Notice of death
   - Application for cremation
   - Medical Record (cause of death)
   - Magistrate Record (From the courts)
   - Post Mortem Record
5. You are then awarded authority for cremation
6. Take the form of authority to the Langata cemetery and an attendant will advise you on the necessary preparations.
7. The process takes anywhere between 3- 4 hours
