Filming in Nairobi

Nairobi has a wide range of potential sites for filming. To film in Nairobi you must first be granted authority from the Filming Institution (located at the Jamhuri show ground). Dependant on your activity, you may be required to request for a temporary road closure license from the City Engineer’s department located at City hall.

To apply for a road closure license, simply write a letter to the city engineer’s department and attach your license from the filming institute. There is a standard fee of 2000/- ksh levied per day for temporary closure of a road.
